London clinic
Medical weight management in London
A clinician-led programme with a full assessment, a written plan and monthly review with the same clinician. No packages, and no advance commitment.
The programme
What it involves
A full clinical assessment first, then a written plan, then a monthly review with the same clinician — for as long as the programme runs and through the maintenance phase after it.
The assessment covers your medical history, every medicine you take, your measurements, blood pressure and what you have tried previously. The plan is adjusted based on how you respond, and includes a maintenance phase from the outset rather than as an afterthought.
Assessment and reviews take place in London or by video consultation. The programme runs in the UK only, because the medication is dispensed by our UK pharmacy partner to a UK address.

What you get for the fee

Eligibility
Am I eligible?
Eligibility depends on your measurements, including BMI, your medical history, any weight-related health conditions, the medicines you take and a full clinical assessment. National guidance sets thresholds for when weight management medication is appropriate, and we work within them.
The programme may suit you if
- You have tried to lose weight before and found it difficult to maintain
- Your weight is affecting your health or your day-to-day life
- You would like clinical oversight rather than a plan bought off a website
- You are able to engage with a programme running over several months
It may not be suitable if
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy
- You have a current or previous eating disorder
- Certain conditions or medicines make it unsafe for you
- Your clinical picture does not indicate that this is the right intervention
Some patients are told the programme is not appropriate for them, and are told why.

Medication
Where medication fits in
Some patients on this programme are prescribed medication and some are not. That is a clinical decision made after assessment, not a product you are buying in advance.
Where medication is clinically appropriate it is explained in full: how it works, the benefit you can reasonably expect, the side effects, the monitoring involved and what happens when it stops. It is prescribed within a monitored programme with monthly review, and charged separately by the dispensing pharmacy.

Common questions
How much does a private weight loss clinic cost in London?
Across London, initial assessments generally range from £150 to £350 and monthly reviews from £50 to £150, with medication charged separately by the pharmacy. Our own fees are confirmed before you commit, and our cost guide sets out the full picture.
Will I definitely be prescribed medication?
No. A prescription is never guaranteed and is issued only where it is clinically appropriate and safe for you.
Do I have to come to London every month?
No. Monthly reviews can be carried out by secure video consultation or at the Marbella clinic. Some assessments are more reliable in person, and Kim will tell you when that applies.
Is this available on the NHS?
NHS weight management support is available in some circumstances, subject to eligibility and local availability, usually through your GP. If you may be eligible, Kim will tell you.
How long does a programme last?
Usually several months to a year of active programme, followed by a maintenance phase. It depends on your starting point and how you respond.
What happens when I stop?
This is planned from the start. Weight regain after stopping is common, so the maintenance phase forms part of the programme.
Do I need blood tests?
Sometimes, depending on your history and what is being considered. Kim will tell you at assessment and explain what is being checked.
Will I see the same clinician each month?
Yes.
